Between 27 and 33 weeks, and it isn't close. Before about 23 weeks there isn't enough fat under the skin for the face to look full, so 3D can look bony. After 34 weeks baby is packed in tight against the uterine wall, which blocks the view. You're welcome to come outside that window — just come knowing what to expect.

We don't — all scans are by appointment only. It's how we make sure nobody gets rushed and the room is yours for your whole session. Book online or call 925-667-7352. Same-day appointments open up more often than you'd think.

We're open seven days a week. Monday and Tuesday 10am–2pm, Wednesday through Friday 9am–7pm, and Saturday and Sunday 9am–5pm. By appointment only.

Sign your waiver ahead of time — it's sent to you by email and text as soon as you book, and signing early gets you on the table faster. Drink water all week, and eat something before you come, since a little sugar tends to wake babies right up. Wear something you don't mind getting warm gel near.

Not for 2nd or 3rd trimester scans. It can help in the 1st trimester. What matters far more is water: drink plenty every day for the week before your appointment. Well-hydrated fluid is clear fluid, and clear fluid is a clear picture.

As many as you want. No guest limits, no extra charge, and you're welcome to record the whole session on your phone. Kids are very welcome — the screen is big enough for everyone to see.

It happens, and it isn't your fault or ours. Before we give up we'll have you walk around, sip something cold, or roll onto your side — it usually works. If we still can't get a good view, you get one free Re-Do on a weekday. Additional Re-Dos are $50. Quickscans aren't eligible for a Re-Do.

One of our three techs — Ericka, Alexis or Brenda. We all scan the same way: unhurried, warm, and for as long as it takes to get the shot you came for.

We do, and we love it. Twins take longer and deserve the extra time, so there's a $30 twin fee in the 1st trimester and $50 for all other scans.

It transforms your best 3D image into a lifelike, high-resolution portrait that shows what your baby may look like. It comes with the Sweetie Pie Premium package only — it isn't available as an add-on to other scans. Ready in 3–5 days. It's an artistic enhancement of your scan rather than a photograph, so think of it as a keepsake.

We record your baby's actual heartbeat and tuck it inside a plush bear, elephant or bunny — $50, added at your appointment. More styles are available in studio.

We do, in any package or dollar amount. They're emailed instantly or printed in studio, and they never expire. It's the baby shower gift she'll actually cry over.

No. These are elective, non-diagnostic keepsake sessions and they don't replace the imaging or prenatal care your doctor or midwife provides. You should already be under the care of a licensed prenatal provider before booking. If we ever see something that concerns us, we'll tell you, and we'll tell you to call your OB.
